Between 2012-15 Tim led the string curriculum design and delivery of In Harmony Opera North, a large music education project in Belle Isle, Leeds.  

 

With a focus on developing the whole musician through singing, movement, instrumental and ensemble playing, IHON has attracted acclaim for its positive effect on wellbeing and academic achievement in young people.  Dramatic rises in SATS results after two years of immersive music-making caused widespread interest in the project.

As a string tutor, violinist and ensemble coach Tim has worked across the UK, including as visiting tutor at Uppingham School, RNCM Junior Strings and Junior School, as Music Director of Stockport Youth Orchestra, and as workshop leader for Manchester Camerata.
